2018 Christmas Party, Installation, & Raffle

True Republicans United held it's first annual Christmas party and 2019 Officer installation on Thursday December 13, 2018, at LCCOA in Troy.  The event was well attended given the scheduling conflicts of many members and the foggy/rainy weather. TRU was blessed to have had 30 people in attendance from several counties, which is a great turnout for this fledgling group.  We were honored to have State Representative Randy Pietzman (District 41) and his wife, Faith, in attendance.

The honorable Judge Gregory K. Allsberry offered the benediction over the meal, reminding all of the blessings bestowed upon us by Christ our Lord.

TRU provided the dinner entrees and desserts, while the many delicious sides were pot luck.  Enough good things cannot be said about all the wonderful dishes that were shared and enjoyed. Several of the ladies were requesting a recipe exchange!

Judge Allsberry also officiated the installation and swearing in of the 2019 TRU Officers: President Thom Artru, VP Chris Ebert, and Treasurer Joe Rekart. Secretary, (Sgt) Jerry Johnson had to work and Communications Officer, (Pastor) Kelly Hardcastle had other obligations as well. They will both be sworn in at a later date.

President Thom Artru outlined TRU's platform and mission, and thanked everyone for their continued help and support. VP Chris Ebert recapped TRU's many accomplishments for the past year, the highlight of which was TRU's donation of $835.00 to another new organization, OASIS Women's Resource Center, which advocates for pro-life in Lincoln County.  Sanctity of Life is a primary tenent of the Republican party, and the heart of TRU.  TRU will be gearing up for another successful year in 2019.
